Amiibo integration is Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom a welcome addition to a franchise that previously had no item customization.

Nintendo Direct 2017 was fast-paced and packed with exciting new releases that fans can look forward to in the coming year. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the most anticipated upcoming releases. This Nintendo Direct ended with a new trailer that took fans to new heights. It showed how players can explore Hyrule following the events of the original game. Zelda – Tears of the Kingdom will release on May 12th. It features amiibo compatibility, which allows players to access useful materials, weapons, and new fabric designs for Link’s paraglider.

To an overwhelmingly positive reception, Zelda – Breath of the Wild was released by Nintendo in 2017. It’s still highly regarded as one of the most successful open-world RPGs, and fans are eagerly awaiting the next installment. One thing Zelda lacked in all its glory was customization. Although players could collect unique headgear and armor, they were not always cosmetic. They were meant to be functional and gave the player a range of buffs. Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom seems to solve this problem with amiibo compatibility.

Amiibo support does not seem to be a new feature in Nintendo’s universe. It’s a feature that’s been in existence since the 3DS. Many games support amiibos. In Nintendo’s hit Animal Crossing, players can scan amiibos or amiibo card cards and customize their experience. You can invite campers to your island, conduct photo shoots on Harv, or invite an animal to The Roost to have a cup of coffee. This feature is now available in the Legend of Zelda universe. It allows for more customized gameplay.

Nintendo also revealed a new amiibo to the Legend of Zelda lineup. The Link – Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo shows the protagonist of the series in his original garb while holding his arm outstretched. After the Nintendo Direct, the demand for the new figure was so great that Nintendo’s website crashed as fans clamored to grab the latest amiibo.

This figure will not be the only one compatible with Zelda’s Tears of Kingdom. Nintendo shared photos of the presentation on Twitter. They showed that at least four amiibos will be compatible with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, it is unclear if other amiibos will work. To enjoy the character figurines’ benefits, players scan their amiibos in the game to access useful materials, weapons, and new fabric designs for Link’s paraglider. The designs can be compared to the features of the figure scanned, such as the Majora’s Mask design that corresponds to the amiibo with the same name. This simple feature opens up a new world of possibilities in the Legend of Zelda franchise, which allows for greater customization in the future.

It’s not clear at this time how much personalization will be available in Zelda. Tears of the Kingdom. the addition of different glider skins could be a step towards the modern for Nintendo. Many games allow players to personalize their characters to create a unique gaming experience. This feature is so common in hugely popular games, it’s almost normal. The inclusion of customizable items in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom could be a positive step forward for Nintendo. It will set the stage for customization to continue to grow as the franchise goes. It adds creativity to a series that had been lacking customization.
