Artist Gives Boyfriend’s PS5 a God of War-Inspired Makeover

A God Of War-inspired image was created by an artist on the PlayStation 5 for her boyfriend. God of War is a PS-exclusive game released in 2018. It was developed by Sony Santa Monica.

The latest God Of War versions, which follow Kratos’ son Atreus (and his wife) are based on Norse mythology, with well-known gods such as Thor, Odin, and Freya. The 2018 game, as well as last year’s God of War Ragnarok, were met with great acclaim by players and critics. They won Game of The Year at The Game Awards. God of War has been highly praised for its character and world design as well as the compelling storyline and immersive gameplay.

Chloe Rose, an artist, and YouTuber, was asked by her boyfriend to paint on his PS5. She immediately selected God of War as her subject, which is a game her boyfriend enjoys. The original video was uploaded to her YouTube channel in December. She also uploaded a shorter version on her Instagram page earlier in the month. Both videos featured her sanding on the PS5 panel. This video was horrifying to many console owners. It was done to remove the gloss texture and give the paint grip so it wouldn’t melt easily. After that, she began to sketch and paint the landscape and mountains of God of War. Rose has so far only painted one side of her console and she has not updated her followers to let them know if she has worked on the other.

Rose stated that she bought the PS5 for Christmas as a gift to her husband. She was then asked to design the white exterior. Rose admitted she was nervous about the project due to her clumsiness, but she promised she would be gentle while painting the console. Particularly since was difficult to find the PS5 at the time.

Rose was praised by many God Of War fans as well as PS5 users who watched her work on YouTube or Instagram. Many expressed their desire to emulate Rose’s work and redesign their consoles. Other gamers have shown their creativity by redesigning their consoles in the past. This PS5 was designed to look like the PS2.

Fans have been wondering about the next mythological realm that Kratos could explore since the release of God of War Ragnarok. Players will need to wait to see what Sony Santa Monica has in store for the future, as there have been suggestions of Aztec, Celtic, and Egyptian mythology.

God Of War Ragnarok is now available for PS4 or PS5.
