The Mystery of the Unrecognized Pilaf Gang: Exploring Dragon Ball Super’s Plot Twists

The Pilaf Gang may be one step closer to looking like their past selves but they haven’t been forthcoming about it.

In the Dragon Ball Super Manga’s Super Hero Saga, there have been major changes. It has been a long time since the children looked like teenagers. This includes Goten (and Trunks) and the Pilaf Gang. Three out of five of these should raise eyebrows among Dragon Team members.

Despite being an antagonist to the Dragon Team in the past the Pilaf Gang is not well-recognized during Dragon Ball Super. It was one thing when the Pilaf Gang was made into children. However, as they get older, they will likely start to look more like themselves. The question of whether the Dragon Team has yet responded to potential threats from the Pilaf Gang might have a few answers.

How should the Dragon Team react to the Pilaf Gang?

To be fair, the Pilaf Gang would only be recognized by a small number of people. Bulma’s original Dragon Team (Goku, Bulma, and Oolong), Yamcha, Yamcha, Yamcha, Yamcha, Yamcha, Yamcha, Yamcha, Bulma, Yamcha, Yamcha, Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, should all remember these guys for being the final obstacle on their first quest to find the Dragon Balls. Piccolo Jr. might be familiar with them as King Piccolo worked alongside them, but he hasn’t met them personally. Chi-Chi did meet them in the anime. But it was a non-canon encounter. It’s okay if he doesn’t remember. Other than these individuals, no one else from the Dragon Team has ever encountered the Pilaf Gang.

It made sense that no one knew their identities when they were introduced in the God of Destruction Beerus Saga. Apart from the fact that it was nearly twenty years since their last encounter, the Gang also had transformed themselves into children. Although they looked the same, there was no way to know how they were able to become children.

that appeared in the “Future” Trunks Saga? This was the first chance anyone had to recognize any one of these children. Future Mai was able to return to the past similarly to her older self. Bulma may have seen Mai at this stage, but she didn’t say anything considering her friendship with Trunks.

Beyond that arc, most of the Dragon Team had reasons for not recognizing the Pilaf Gang. Goku wouldn’t recognize them because DBS has made him dumber; Yamcha Puar, Oolong, and Puar haven’t had a chance yet to recognize them since their appearances in the story are so few. Bulma, who has spent the most amount of time with them and is smart enough, is the only one who doesn’t have any excuse not to recognize these three.

Bulma Is Not Aware of the Pilaf Gang? Or Does She Just Not Care About It?

Bulma seems at least to recognize Pilaf but doesn’t see him as a major danger. Even her gang works for him. If they cause trouble, she is quick enough to alert them and take action. This means that even if anyone sees them, and remembers the start of Dragon Ball, they do not have reason to fear them.

The Pilaf Gang is now largely forgotten. Bulma keeps a close watch on the situation and may someday gather the Dragon Balls for a dangerous mission. The trio has integrated itself into the main cast without causing any trouble. They don’t need to be mentioned even if someone knew who they are and what their past actions were.
