James Gunn (CEO of DC Studios) gave his review of Shazam! Fury Of The Gods.
Gunn shared his love for the DC Universe sequel via Twitter. He also praised the film’s cast, which included stars Zachary Levi as Rachel Zegler as well as director David F. Sandberg.

At the moment, Shazam is not yet known about his future at DCU. But Sandberg has said that the character’s future appearances depend on the performance of Fury of the Gods. “The possibility for Shazam is there, and if this is what you want, your best bet is to go see the movie,” he stated. With an opening estimated at $35 million, the upcoming sequel will be the best-grossing debut of the DC Extended Universe. These numbers could change as the film release nears. Fury of the Gods: What can you expect?
Fury of the Gods has officially wrapped filming. Sandberg later refuted the rumor. As the sequel of 2019’s Shazam the Fury of the Gods film will star Asher Angel and Levi as Shazam, as well as his young alter ego Billy Batson. Recent rumors claimed that Levi would not be back as Shazam after shakeups at DC Studios. These shakeups were led by Gunn Safran and Peter Safran. Levi said that Levi would not believe anything he saw on the internet.
In addition to Levi and Angel the Fury of the Gods cast includes Jack Dylan Grazer. DjimonHounsou, Ian Chen and Grace Fulton. Faithe Herman and Jovan Armand will all be back as the Shazam adult forms. Fury of the Gods is also welcoming new villains called the Daughters of Atlas. These include Zegler, Helen Mirren, Djimon Hounsou, Faithe Herman, Jovan Armand, and Meagan Good as the adult Shazam forms.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods should be available in cinemas by March 17, 2023.
