Who Are the New Characters Coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? Here’s Our Dream List

Nintendo has confirmed the fact that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will have more playable characters in the upcoming wave of DLC. Here’s what players hope to be able to do.

The fourth wave of DLC is available for Mario Kart8 Deluxe. This is the first time a character of a different character is added to the roster. The fourth wave of Four introduces Birdo who made her Mario Kart debut with Double Dash!! has only appeared in several titles since. The updated character selection screen is what makes me happy. Birdo’s addition adds a column to the roster, and five question marks occupy the remaining spots. It allows players to speculate on the identities of these additional characters.

Nintendo has confirmed that the latest two waves of DLC will add more playable characters to the roster but left no hint as to who they may be. A majority of the DLC has been tracking that was previously released in Mario Kart titles. It is logical to have all DLC characters return. But this doesn’t mean Nintendo won’t be able to surprise everyone by introducing a new character. Fans are abuzz with eager anticipation, making their predictions. There are many possibilities. These are the most eagerly anticipated characters for Mario Kart Deluxe.

Petey Piranha Is Mario’s Most Lovable Enemy

Similar to Birdo, Petey Piranha made his first appearance as a driver in Mario Kart: Double Dash! !, and hasn’t made an appearance much after that, except Mario Kart Tour. He was first introduced to the Mario franchise in Super Mario Sunshine as an early-game boss and has since grown to be a well-known villain in every game in which he’s appeared. Petey is the mutated, overgrown leader of the Piranha Plants, and his iconic design is hilariously silly. Even though his head is large, it can make it difficult to play as Petey in Mario Cart but it’s more enjoyable to be the first. Petey Piranha, a veteran of the Mario series, is an icon. It would surprise me if one of the five spots wasn’t made for Petey.

Pauline Goes From Damsel-in-Distress To Mayor of New Donk City

Pauline is a fan favorite who has been part of the Mario franchise since the very beginning. When she first became the mayor of New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey HTML1 in the first game, she was the damsel trouble that Mario saved way back in Donkey Kong. In the years since Super Mario Odyssey, Pauline is welcomed to the Super Mario family with open arms and has made appearances in a couple of games as well as the Mario Kart Tour. Her sultry style and status as mayor set Pauline apart from the other women in the Super Mario franchise, and it is easy to see why the fans love Pauline.

Kamek the Magikoopa deserves a spot on the Roster

The character most wanted for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is Kamek. This old Magikoopa serves as Bowser’s advisor and was previously only available via the mobile version of Mario Kart Tour. Kamek was first introduced in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, where he looked after Baby Bowser and served as the game’s primary antagonist. He went on to be the main enemy in all the Yoshi games and is frequently one of Mario’s final bosses before fighting Bowser. With such a prominent presence across the Nintendo series, Kamek belongs on the Mario Kart roster.

Donkey Kong Without Diddy Kong Just Feels Off

Even though Diddy Kong isn’t the most beloved monkey in Mario Kart 8 (that could have been Funky Kong) however, his presence is loved. Diddy Kong happens to be Donkey Kong’s nephew and partner in the Donkey Kong Country game, and it’s a bit strange to be the only DK as the only player on the team. Dixie and Funky were previously featured in Mario Kart. Although they’d be fantastic to see in Mario Kart8 Deluxe, Diddy seems like the most appropriate option. Diddy Kong’s previous Mario Kart appearances were in Double Dash! !, Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Kart Tour.

This is the perfect time to give Princess Zelda her debut

Their Mario Kart debut was much overdue. Fans are excited to meet Princess Zelda. The Legend of Zelda is a Nintendo classic since the NES. However, the franchise was not integrated into Mario Kart until Link was introduced in Mario Kart 8. It has since included different versions of Link for the player to choose from as well as a cool horse-shaped motorbike and a Hyrule-themed racetrack. Tears of the Kingdom is also getting closer to its release with many speculations that Zelda might have had her most significant role in the game in the past, which is why it’s the ideal time to join the team racing.

There are two more DLC releases to come, and it’s impossible to predict what the mystery five characters could turn out to be. Funky Kong and Dixie Kong Jr, Donkey Kong Jr., Wigglers Honey Queen, Koopa Paratroopa, and R.O.B. are just a handful of characters that may have appeared in Mario Kart. Nintendo promises to return characters but didn’t specify if they’d all return. That means there is a chance for a new character to join the Mario Kart roster. We will only know the results of this test in time and we’re excited to see which five characters the final five will be.
