Rumiko Takahashi, the creator of Inuyasha manga and has joined forces with Japan’s top pro cosplayer to make some of the most famous characters from Inuyasha.
Rumiko Takahashi, creator of Uruseiya and Inuyasha, has revealed a first look at her cosplay book.

The book’s new edition will feature various cosplays created by Enako voice actor, streamer and model who is known as Japan’s highest-paid professional cosplayer. The popular cosplayer will play the role of many characters from Takahashi’s most popular series, including Maison Ikkoku Ranma1/2 and Inuyasha. Takahashi even created the character of a new design for Enako to portray in her new novel. The first picture from the book, that shows the cosplayer dressed up as Lum, the character from Takahashi’s earliest hit film Urusei Yatsura, was revealed on Enako’s personal Twitter account. The book that the collaboration has created that is yet to be announced will be released on September 6 in Japan.

Urusei Yatsura is an old sci-fi romantic that was recently rediscovered by the public. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a studio owned by David Production, is preparing a new adaptation. The new series is produced by Hideya Takahashi ( Platinum End) and Yasuhiro Kimura who directed Jojo’s Golden Wind season. The series will run for four years and adapt selected stories from the original 1978-1987 manga. The return of Lum and Ataru to TV in Japan will start broadcasting this October. The details of the international release are still not known.
Takahashi when she’s not busy creating manga or overseeing the many adaptations of the manga she has created, is collecting awards. In 2020, she received the Medal with Purple Ribbon Award from the Japanese Government for her contributions to culture and the arts. And in 2021, she was inducted into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame in recognition of her achievements. The manga writer is developing her latest manga series, the supernatural fantasy Mao,which was released in the year 2019 and is distributed in English by VIZ Media.

Enako began cosplaying around 2012 and has since become so well known in the Japanese cosplay scene and anime fandom that she’s compensated by conventions to carry her character to their events. According to reports, she makes over $90,000.00 USD per month through paid appearances and photo shoots. In a video released at the start of the year, she explained that she owns a ” Cosplay Warehouse” that houses thousands of costumes. The staff of the warehouse diligently catalogues and preserves them.
